Dear Diary
Last Saturday was April Fool's Day. This year is the first time that a joke has been played on me. I found it extremely amusing to be made a fool! I easily trust people, so if someone plays a joke on me I always believe them.
My friends, Michael, Kevin and Amy played a joke on me: they planned to tell me that Kevin would go to Japan in July to attend an international speech competition. I really trusted Kevin and felt so proud of him; and was really happy about this for several minutes. Then they told me "April Fool!”
They succeeded because I trusted them. I think April Fool's Day is a funny day because playing jokes allows people to relax. I am so happy that I could get that kind of surprise.
